I do not like this new Kinja update. I liked giving you stars. Sometimes, you want to let someone know you saw it and liked it but you don’t have anything to say. “ Saving” it does not express what I wish to express.
Pumpkin does not approve of these choices.

I checked my "Saves", they function literally the same way recommends did. Unless they're going to make them functionally different than recommends, I don't understand why they did this.

If you got a message that said, “ImmoralMinority saved your post” then that would be fine.

“Save” anyway - it’s the same thing.

Yet can still star a reply... weird.

Your post was completely terrible, but then ImmoralMinority swept in, made a long, insightful comment, and totally saved it!

It wouldn’t be kinja anyother way
Once they get something right, they have to fuck it up.

I do not like this “saving” jam.
I do not like it, sam-I-am.
I will not save posts to my blog, I will not save posts with a dog.
I will not save for later read, I will not save - there is no need.
I will not save from Kinjaverse, I liked to “like” them - this is worse.
I do not like this “saving” jam,
I do not like it, sam-I-am.

Yeah y ou can still recommend replies, but those recommendations are being counted among your “saved articles”. I don’t know if they’re planning to apply bookmark icons to comment sections too, but Kinja seems to think that we’re saving replies for later. It doesn’t make sense.

But my favorite star I found in unicode today, timely for the forthcoming Aquaman movie:
(That’s the alchemical symbol for starred trident.) (Not the gum.)

Yet it still says recommended in notifications.
